Varanasi : With complaints often going unresolved at local police stations, many citizens are forced to seek justice from higher authorities. In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s initiative to directly address public grievances through ‘Janata Darshan,’ Varanasi’s proactive Joint Police Commissioner Dr. K. Ejilearassane has enhanced the public hearing system to ensure quick and effective resolution of issues.
Dr. Ejilearassane now holds daily public hearings from 10 AM to 2 PM, where he listens to the concerns of victims and works toward delivering justice. He has implemented measures to ensure that complainants are not burdened with frequent trips to police stations. All police officials, including station heads, have been directed to engage with the public directly and resolve cases fairly and impartially.
In response to the growing number of grievances, the Joint Police Commissioner has introduced an additional evening session from 4 PM to 6 PM, during which he addresses the concerns of 150-200 individuals each day. His top priority is to ensure that no victim is left without justice, and that every case is thoroughly investigated to ensure fair action.
This expanded public hearing system sends a clear message to all police personnel: citizens should not be made to run around for justice. Dr. Ejilearassane’s initiative represents a critical step in improving law and order in Varanasi, ensuring that victims receive timely and just resolutions.
